Crochet abbreviation FP stands for front post. It is usually used in conjunction with any type of stitch, for example, FPdc or FPtr.

To make a front post stitch you insert your hook from the front of your work between working stitch and previous stitch to the back of work and bring it around the post inserting it from the back to the front of work between working stitch and next stitch.
